During every preflight checkout of the UAS equipment and the launch location and surrounding area, Robert’s methodical approach to conduct risk assessments, with a detail-oriented and thorough evaluation, allows him to anticipate and enforce preventative measures of hazardous and/or unsafe conditions. During the flight As a Visual Observer it gives him direct input to augment the Pilot in Command’s sense of situational awareness. He monitors assigned airspace along a flight route and Assists in collision avoidance while meeting mission objectives.
